Travel Arrangements and Expenses
The Kavli Foundation will cover travel costs and expenses for directors and Kavli Institute scientists. Costs covered include: airfare, hotel, ground transportation, travel incidentals. Meals are provided for the Assembly dates. Please contact events@kavlifoundation.org for any expense reimbursements.
- Airfare: Corporate Traveler is The Kavli Foundation’s travel service, and will work with registered participants of the Assembly. Please first register for the Assembly, and our travel manager Kelly King will be in contact to find a flight that best fits your needs and aligns with the foundation’s travel policy and book it on your behalf.
- Hotel: Hotel accommodations will be provided by The Kavli Foundation for all attendees at the Hilton Culver City.
- Ground Transportation: The foundation will cover costs associated with transportation to and from airports to arrive to the Assembly. Details on how these costs will be paid will follow in the coming weeks.
- Meals: Meals will be covered during the Assembly. For meals/incidentals during travel to and from the Assembly, expenses will be covered by the foundation. Details on how these costs will be paid will follow in the coming weeks.
Visa Documentation
If you need a formal invitation letter to apply for a visa for your trip, please reach out to events@kavlifoundation.org.

The Kavli Conference Center is located at foundation headquarters in Los Angeles. The entrance to the conference center is on the ground floor on the north end. You will be greeted with a name badge and meeting materials upon arrival.
Attendees are invited to walk the short distance from the Hilton to the conference center. Please email events@kavlifoundation.org if you require other transportation options.
On-Site Parking Options
The Kavli Foundation offers three parking spaces on street level, behind the building (indicated in green). These are available on a first come first served basis. For additional parking, you may park in the Kavli Conference Center parking garage (indicated in orange), or on Mesmer Avenue (public street parking). To reserve parking, email events@kavlifoundation.org.
Attire
Attendees are encouraged to dress comfortably, or business-casual. A light jacket is recommended, even if it is warm during the day as Los Angeles weather may vary hourly. Please pack comfortable walking shoes for the excursion on Monday, July 15.
